Children * Record a Story or Book

Record a Story or a Book

Record a story or a book. All you need is a telephoneMaking a digital tape recording of a book is a wonderful family activity, and a great way to stay in touch if a child, parent or grandparent is far away.  Digital tape recordings can be sent around the world by e-mail, or placed on a web site.  They can be downloaded to computers, iPods, phones, etc.

You, your children, your grandchildren or your students can record a book, or a story so you can have more fun as a family, or in class. You can use this system whether someone is in the same room, or thousands of miles away. All you need is a telephone.  (Many cell phones have free minutes on weekends and nights.)  If have two or more phones on the same telephone line, more than one person can record the story.  Mom can read Mom's part.  A girl can read Suzy's part.  A girl or boy can read Karrit's part.  Grandmom can read the Grandmom's part.  (Like a play.)

Children like to record a book or story and share it with others.  It is a great way for them to build self esteem, particularly if they also use our Image Library (requires a subscription) to write an e-book.

An iPod is just one of many ways to listen to the stories

Most people like to hear books or stories read by parents and grandparents, brothers, sisters, teachers and other important people, and they can listen to them  using their computer, or a CD, .mp3 player or  iPod.

Note: It is *not* necessary to be on line to read the book, hear the story or both.
